Auberge Fujii Fermier owns a bamboo woods, where you can enjoy digging the bamboo shoots by yourself soon. It would be from the midst of April. In fall last year I put a lot of rice straws and compost produced at Okera Farm in Mikuni. This farm puts into practice recycling-based agriculture - a method wherein waste generated from agriculture, such as stems, for example, is used as livestock feed, and wherein manure generated by stockbreeding is used as compost for making soil.
They makes the bamboo shoots softer and more delicious. The participation fee is ￥1000 a person, 1 bamboo shoot included. About the second or more, each bamboo shoot is ￥250. You can take as many as you've dug home. Not only the guests staying at Auberge but the visitors can experience this digging. Please e-mail me; firstname.lastname@example.org to make a reservation.
